- Main Ingredients
- Serving 4 servings
Kitchen knife, cutting board, frying pan, spatula, baking tray, parchment.
Step 1: chop the bread.
Fold the pieces of bread into each other and first cut into three strips, then turn and make three more cuts across the previous ones, so that you get medium-sized cubes.
Step 2: prepare the butter with spices.
Melt the butter in a pan. Add finely chopped cloves of garlic, pepper, basil, thyme and salt. Mix well. Heat everything over low heat.
Step 3: Toast the bread.
Put slices of bread in a skillet with butter and spices and cook them, stirring, until they absorb all the butter and lightly brown.
Step 4: bake the bread.
Place the croutons on a baking sheet covered in parchment. Flatten so that all the pieces lie in one layer.
Send the bread preheated to 220 degrees oven on 10-15 minutes. A couple of times, croutons need to be turned over so that they become equally crispy on all sides.
Step 5: sprinkle croutons with cheese.
When the croutons are covered with a golden brown crust, sprinkle them with grated Parmesan and return to the oven for a few more seconds so that the cheese melts. After that, the snack can be served at the table. Cold or hot.
Step 6: Serve the croutons with spices.
When serving to enhance the aroma, I added sprigs of fresh herbs to the croutons. At home, this appetizer flies away just at the moment, because everyone loves it very much. Try it and you, I am sure, you will not remain indifferent to these delicious and crispy crackers.
Enjoy your meal!
