- Flour 300 g
- Sugar 3 tsp
- Fast yeast 4 g
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
- Water 150 ml
- Main Ingredients Yeast Dough
- Serving 2 servings
rolling pin, double boiler, baking parchment, dough scraper
Step 1: knead the dough.
Pour the flour onto the countertop with a slide, add yeast and sugar, mix and slowly begin to add water, kneading the dough in your hands. Then add vegetable oil as slowly. (It’s most convenient to knead such a soft dough with a scraper.)
Knead until the dough is smooth and sticky, and then continue to knead 10 minutesuntil the dough becomes very smooth and very sticky. Add salt and knead again.
Cover with a cloth and leave in a warm place on 30 minutesto make the dough increase in volume.
Step 2: form the buns.
Divide the dough into small pieces of approximately the same size. Roll into flat oval cakes and grease one side with oil, put parchment so that the cake does not stick together, and fold in half.
Put in a grid for a double boiler (also covered with parchment) and cover with a cloth, leave on 10 minutesto make the dough rise again.
Step 3: Cooking Steam Bao Buns.
Steam bao buns for 4-5 minutesand then do not rush to remove them from the double boiler or open the lid, let the baking stand 2-3 minutesso that the dough remains airy.
Step 4: Serve the Bao Steam Buns.
Bao steam buns are served with various fillings, they are so soft that you will fall in love with them from the first bite.
Enjoy your meal!
