Millet cutlets

Ingredients for the preparation of millet cutlets

For cutlets

  1. Wheat groats 1 cup
  2. Water 2 cups (cook cereal)
  3. Leek slice 10 centimeters
  4. Flour or starch 3 tablespoons
  5. Egg 1 piece
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Universal seasoning to taste
  8. Provencal herbs to taste

Additionally

  1. Egg 1 piece
  2. Breadcrumbs optional
  3. Vegetable oil for frying

Inventory:

Frying pan, blender, spatula, cutting board.

Cooking:

Step 1: Cook the grits.


Boil millet in the indicated amount of water over low heat for 20 minutes. Cool to room temperature.

Step 2: prepare minced meat for cutlets.


Beat the prepared millet with a blender until smooth.

Add flour and egg to millet.

Add spices, dried herbs and finely chopped leeks.

Mix everything well to get a homogeneous mass.

You should have a sticky, thick mass.

Step 3: fry the millet cutlets.


Wet small cutlets from wet millet with wet hands. If the mass is too loose and does not mold, add water or a little milk to it.
Dip the formed patties in a beaten egg, and then in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil until golden brown.

Step 4: serve the millet cutlets.


Serve cutlets with natural yogurt and garlic sauce - this is a great combination for all time! Here cutlets are served for dinner with broccoli and fresh salad. Useful and satisfying.
